
| There are currently 10 members on the Board of
Directors: a diverse, well-balanced, talented group.
Everyone on the Board has been touched by this disease in their personal
lives, which promotes a strong sense of commitment to the organization
and to its goals. Each brings a variety of skills and abilities to the
functioning of the Society.

| The Board includes professionals from a wide variety of fields and specialties,
including medicine, theatre, law, business, urban development, human resources, and sales.
Together they form a leadership with a keen understanding of balancing community needs and fiscal responsibility.

| The McLaren Board is also
diverse with respect to gender, age and sexual
orientation. All Board members engage in a wide
range of voluntary and professional activities
that have broadened their knowledge of the
community being served.

| Continuity and balance on the Board have always been maintained.
The tenure of Board members ranges from twelve years to six months, with an average term of six years.
Operational policies are formalized in a policy and procedures manual. This manual outlines in detail Board
responsibilities and liabilities. This helps to ensure that the Society will continue to operate smoothly and efficiently.
